This back porch was always an eyesore and ironically even though it's the "back" porch it's actually the main entrance we use and the first thing guests see...yikes! When we first moved in it was covered in cobwebs and dirt, honestly it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in centuries. So the first thing I did was get my pressure washer and sprayed the whole thing down. Unfortunately it died halfway thru so good ol' elbow grease would have to do. I used painter's drop cloths for curtains, they're the perfect neutral color and only $9 per panel. They add the perfect amount of privacy and cozy touch to the space without spending a ton of money on real outdoor curtains.
I had this lovely bench custom made locally, I will post the information of the guy who made it for me below- he did a wonderful job!
I plan to add full size cushions to the bench however that will have to wait until cushions go on sale for the year OR I might just make my own.
It's not 100% finished but for now it's serving us quite well and I'm enjoying spending time out on the porch sipping lemonade and watching the kids play outside! Ahhh Summer!
